What's Going on in Read 180?

*** Its the start of the new, and final nine weeks of the 2012 - 2013 school year!  Currently, we are reading a few stories about the Loch Ness Monster.  The first is a realistic fiction story titled "Searching for the Loch Ness Monster" in which a young brother and sister might get a bit more than they bargained for on a family vacation to Scotland!  The next story, "The Legend of Nessie" is a non-fiction story that examines famous "sightings" throughout history and the scientific studies conducted in an attempt to find the elusive creature. 

We are also getting ready for the 7th Grade OAA.  Our target skill is context clues.

The following our the folder assignments for the current story, "Searching for the Loch Ness Monster".  These will be due on Wednesday, March 20th.  We will have a test over the story on Thursday, March 21st.
