What to Always Remember!
*** READ and FOLLOW ALL directions!
*** Underline, circle, or highlight the important words in the direction or question.
*** Write the number form of a number above the word from in a problem.
*** Decide if the problem is a multi-step or extended response question.
Circle all of the question marks, number the steps that need to be completed and
underline the words that tell you what to do: explain, tell or show.
*** Determine and underline important information.
*** Cross out any information that is not needed.
*** SHOW ALL OF THE WORK FOR THE PROBLEM.
*** Show work by using pictures, words, math problems, charts, tables, number
lines, etc....
*** Check over your work!
