Class Description:
 World Studies from 1000 B.C. to 1750: Ancient Civilizations through the First Global Age.   This study incorporates each of the standards:  History, Geography, Economics, and Government.  Students will learn that each historic event is shaped by its geographic setting, culture of the people, economic conditions, governmental decisions and citizen action.  Students will also expand their command of social studies skills and methods.  The following themes/units from this time period will be studied:

Greeks                         Islamic Kingdoms
Romans                       Asia (Mongols, Chinese + Japanese) 
African Kingdoms      Middle Ages (Europe)

    We will celebrate Patriot's Day on Tuesday-Sept. 11
  • Constitution Day
    We will celebrate our U.S. Constitution's creation on Monday-Sept. 17th

     We will observe Veteran's Day on Friday-Nov. 9th or Monday-Nov. 14th!!

    2nd semester Facts of the Day (#66-140) and Year Assessment will be on the Final Exam; students will need #2 pencils;  they should study their facts of the day +/or Fact Quizzes Reviews (#7-13)

    May 29th am (1st period) /  pm (2nd period)

    May 30th am (3rd period)

    May 31st am (7th period) / pm (8th period)

    Books will be collected on these days!
